Utterly Romantic Editorial Shoot at Jardin de Buis, New York

“Like walking into a Jane Austen novel” – Bumble Burgh Events Co. together with the beyond talented Ivash photography created the magical atmosphere of Medieval wedding at the Jardin de Buis in New York. A large team of professionals worked hard and created those incredible ideas to bring them to our eyes through these breathtaking pictures.

Jardin de Buis, an eighteenth-century dairy farm with an original main house, multiple courtyards, an English-style orangery, and a French-style potager garden became the perfect place to stage an editorial shoot inspired by a return to tradition. Everything from the classic style of the attire to the vintage tablescape pieces, luxe stationery materials, European furniture pieces, and the scent the bride wore was reflective of the traditional elements each vendor is seeing requested in abundance this year.

The Bellini gown from the WONÁ Concept newest collection became the real jewel of the photoshoot adding special style to the surrounding atmosphere. All sewn of the glossy satin this dress is vintage-styled, feminine and sexy at the same time! The corset is embellished with the deep V-neckline and the unique feature of the gown is hidden in the puffy volumetric shoulder sleeves. The lush ball skirt has a high slit on one leg that adds nothing but excellence to the bridal look. The long train makes the bride look even more luxuriously.

We were inspired to design an editorial shoot that reflects a renewed appreciation for the traditional side of weddings. We pulled a team of talented vendors to create an editorial shoot wherein each detail gives nod to cultural continuity in tradition. The venue search was extensive as it was important that the venue exuded an old-world, stately feel that could embody multiple cultural aesthetics. We asked ourselves, “If our French, Dominican, American or Asian brides wanted a wedding venue that they could bring their cultural traditions to and it enhance those traditions, what would that venue look like?” We found it in Jardin de Buis.
